The 1-Mile Brick Road Race and the 5K Poker Run was made possible with the help of the Poplar Bluff Parks Department, Dan Massingham of Dan's Trophies & Awards, Sears Youth Center, Poplar Bluff Police Department, museums such as: Poplar Bluff Railroad Museum, the Art Museum, The Stage Company at the Rodgers Theatre, the Union Pacific Depot, and the Poplar Bluff Museum.   A course record was set last year in the 1-mile race by Jasmin Summerall, who beat the 1999 record by three seconds.
