14th Annual Regional High School Art Exhibit

April 5-27, 2014

An opening reception will be held from 1 – 3 p.m. Sunday to honor students, their teachers and family.  The award presentation will be at 2 p.m.

Dexter High School student Lace Ann Sumner has won the Best of Show award for her drawing “Enchanted” in the 14th Annual Regional Juried High School Art Exhibit at the Margaret Harwell Art Museum.

High school students from 21 area districts were invited to submit up to 12 original works created in the 2013-14 school year to be displayed at the museum through April 27th.

Brianna Phillips of Poplar Bluff, first place; Kasity Twaddell of Dexter, second place, honorable mention; and Ali Cornelius of Puxico, third place.

Lace Ann Sumner of Dexter, first place; Amber O”Dell of Van Buren, second place; Jose Ventura of Poplar Bluff, third place; and Cole Johnson of Malden, honorable mention.

Lane McDaniel of Puxico, first place; Kasity Twaddell of Dexter, second place; Dallas Vance of Scott Co. Central, third place; and Joy Pelton of Poplar Bluff, honorable mention.

Fantashia Kipper of Poplar Bluff, first place; Shelby Manis of East Carter Co, second place; and Kasity Twaddell of Dexter, third place.

Savannah Dobbs of Poplar Bluff, first place; Amber Dale Smith of Greenville, second place; Ali Crabb of Puxico, third place; and Jessica Jackson of Puxico, Grace Adams of Puxico, honorable mention.

Financial assistance for this project has been provided by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency. The museum is open noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
