February 2-24, 2008
Robert Ketchens
Opening Reception Sunday, February 3, 2008 1-3pm
Born and raised in New Orleans, LA, Robert began his career with the United States Air Force. His military service as a medical illustrator in Biloxi, MS and at the USAF Hospital in Wiesbaden, Germany, laid the groundwork for his studies in fine art in Germany. Robert has continued to experiment within his color pallet, presenting strong vivid colors reminiscent of the Southern roots and pastels that evoke familiarity with a shared history of peoples.
This exhibit is about his thoughts and saddness from hurricane Katrina and evokes much emotion. Look carefully at his paintings to find the meanings behind the painting.
