67th Annual Poplar Bluff Artists’ Guild

You are invited to enter the 67th Annual Poplar Bluff Artists’ Guild Regional Art Exhibit at the Margaret Harwell Art Museum, 421 North Main, Poplar Bluff, Mo. 63901. All members of the Poplar Bluff Artists’ Guild and anyone 18 years of age or older residing within 100 miles of Poplar Bluff are eligible to enter. Artists may submit three entries from 8 categories. Work must be original, completed in the past two years, not previously exhibited at the Margaret Harwell Art Museum and subject to judging. Picture’s surface cannot measure more than 48” in any dimension. All work must be appropriately framed and wired for hanging. Studio framing is permitted as long as the edges are finished (no raw edges or staples showing). Pastels, Watercolors, and Graphic Arts MUST be under glass. All Oils must be completely dry. The Exhibit Committee reserves the right to reject entries for not meeting the above criteria as well as for being inappropriate subject matter for viewing by all family members. An entry fee of $25.00 will be payable when entries are accepted. This fee will include 2020-2021 Poplar Bluff Artists’ Guild membership. Jeanie Eddleman is a retired art teacher, founder and president of the Cat Ranch Art Guild, and Chairman of the Board of the Tom Runnels Memorial Scholarship Fund and is a member of the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri. She is a juried member of the Best of Missouri Hands artists since 2012. She manages and shows her work in her studio “Jeanie Eddleman Art Studio” at 620 Whitelaw Avenue in Cape Girardeau, MO. Margaret Harwell Art Museum will host the Opening Reception honoring participating artists Sunday, November 1, 2020 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Categories -Oil Watercolor -Acrylic Pastels -Mixed Media -3-Dimensional Fiber -Graphic Arts Work may be reproduced for publicity purposes. Margaret Harwell Art Museum will receive 20% commission on sales of artwork. Awards -Best of Show Sponsored by Commerce Bank -First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention Awards presented in each category. -1st Place $50 -2nd Place $25 -3rd Place $15 -Honorable Mention Ribbon -People’s Choice $50 People’s Choice Award will be voted during the show exhibit dates and will be awarded on November 29, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Calendar -October 24 Entries accepted 10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. -November 1 Opening Reception 1:00- 4:00 p.m. -December 2 - December 4, 2020 Work must be picked up between 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. The Poplar Bluff Artists’ Guild and the Margaret Harwell Art Museum will not be responsible for any artwork left at the museum after December 30, 2020.
